Diesel Griffed Gen 6 is a smartwatch with a design typical for the fashion manufacturer. Its case diameter is 45 millimeters. It brings a wide range of functions for sports and everyday life. Google’s Wear OS operating system serves as the basis. Since a microphone and a speaker are built in, phone calls that come in on the connected smartphone can be accepted and made. At the same time, wearers can use the integrated voice assistant Amazon Alexa.
An NFC chip is used for contactless payment. The smart watch records workouts, including the amount of calories burned and the pulse. Thanks to GPS, outdoor routes such as running laps are recorded. The Diesel Griffed Gen 6 also determines the oxygen content in the blood (SpO2) and analyzes sleep quality. With a fast charging mode, it can be brought back to a battery level of 80 percent within 30 minutes.

The Diesel Griffed Gen 6: Typically distinctive look, typically Diesel
Diesel already had a watch collection called “Griffed” in its range for quite some time. Accordingly, it is practically self-explanatory that the Disel Griffed Gen 6 is based on this series in terms of its appearance. The smartwatches are characterized by the typical design of the fashion label. Among other things, the case diameter of 45.5 millimeters speaks for that.
A wide bezel underlines the striking look together with the three buttons on the right edge of the case. The center button functions as a crown, which can also be turned to scroll through the menu.
According to the manufacturer, the Diesel Griffed Gen 6 is aimed at both men and women. You can choose from a total of four variants. Two of them feature a link bracelet made of stainless steel. Of these, one model is in silver, the other in an anthracite gray. This is joined by a version with a brown leather strap and a silver bezel.
The quartet is completed by a version with a nylon strap. It is wrapped in a red hue, emblazoned with the Diesel lettering in white. The Diesel Griffed Gen 6 is shown to be protected against water penetration up to 30 meters.
Practical companion in all situations
As a typical smartwatch with Google’s Wear OS operating system, the Diesel Griffed Gen 6 is compatible with Android and iOS. It connects to the smartphone and notifies anytime there is an incoming call or message. Phone calls can even be made directly via the wrist, as a microphone and speaker are built in.
Via the microphone, wearers can also ask the voice assistant Amazon Alexa for help. Among other things, she answers knowledge questions, saves shopping lists or controls smart home devices. The integrated NFC chip enables contactless payment via Google Pay.
The Diesel Griffed Gen 6 allows access to the Google Play Store directly via the display. There, users download apps that expand the range of functions as needed. They can also find watchfaces there, so they can also install new dial designs on their watch. The smartwatch already includes a few useful tools, such as a timer, a stopwatch, a translator and a weather display.
On top of that, the Diesel Griffed Gen 6 accompanies its owners on workouts. It records outdoor activities like runs with its GPS module. Thanks to Google Fit, it supports the entire range of activities – from running to yoga and weight training.
Furthermore, the heart rate is measured permanently.
The smart watch also determines the oxygen content in the blood (SpO2). It analyzes sleep at night and serves as an alarm clock in the morning.
Its battery life is around 24 hours. The wearer can influence and extend the smartwatch’s endurance via individual settings. With the fast charging mode, it only takes half an hour to reach a battery level of 80 percent again.
